Cross-country skiing for everyone

Cross-country skiing is accessible and suitable for all ages. You set your own pace and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Vrådal is family-friendly, with shorter, flatter trails perfect for children. If you’re looking for a challenge, there are longer, more technical routes as well.

The cross-country season usually runs from December to late March, depending on weather conditions. Thanks to its elevation and sheltered valleys, the snow quality is often excellent. January and February are especially popular for their reliable snow and fairy-tale landscapes.

Didn’t bring your own gear? At Vrådal Panorama Ski Center, you can rent high-quality cross-country skis, poles, and boots. The friendly staff will gladly help you, whether you're a beginner or looking to improve your technique.

Vrådal has an extensive network of cross-country trails, offering about 45 kilometers of prepared routes. The trails are varied, well-maintained, and suitable for all levels:

• Vrådal Panorama – Hægefjell Loop: a moderately challenging 10 km route with beautiful views over the valley.

• Skardåsen Circuit: a varied 7 km trail through forest and open terrain, ideal for a relaxed afternoon outing.

• Tverrfjellet Trail: for more experienced skiers, this demanding route includes elevation changes and panoramic views.

Many trails start directly at Vrådal Panorama, where you can also rent your equipment and get updated snow conditions.

After a day in the snow, return to your warm and comfortable holiday home. Our houses are located in peaceful spots near the trails, with views of snowy peaks. Ideal for unwinding by the fireplace after an active day in nature.
