Intro Twin Lakelodges combines two identical lodges, standing directly beside one another — 350 m² combined, ten double bedrooms, and full indoor and outdoor facilities for twenty guests. The two houses are booked together in a single reservation but stay entirely separate, which suits extended families, several families travelling together, or any group that wants to share a holiday while keeping some distance. Each lodge has its own kitchen, living and dining area, five double bedrooms, three bathrooms, two additional toilets, private sauna, hot tub and an upstairs lounge and game area. There is not much light in the double bedroom on the ground floor near the shelves where you can put your clothes. The toilet in the bathroom with the double sink came loose from the wall a little. There was no shelf in the shower to put your shower items on in the bathroom with double sink. The hob was very difficult to turn on. It did not always respond.”

We had already booked a cabin (Furuhus) with friends through Fjord Rentals three years ago and would do so again in a heartbeat. We would like to send a message to the owner of the house... We missed the following items in the kitchen, which could be purchased for little money... - A water jug/carafe - Tea strainer or teapot We also missed having somewhere to hang our clothes in the bedrooms. Three or four hooks per room would have been nice. We agree with other tenants who stated in their Google reviews that the blankets in the bedroom are too thin. We also had two nights that were very chilly. We also missed a little cosiness/personal touch (like Furuhus).”

9.5“Beautiful lodge - fully equipped - but far from Vradal. Beautiful nature, we enjoyed walking in the area. The view from the cottage is truly amazing. The large glass surfaces allow you to be in direct contact with the changing weather outside. Lots of light in the living room. Quiet: we were there at the end of June 2025 and the three nearby lodges were empty. Spring: no mosquitoes! Having breakfast on the terrace is impossible - there is no table. In the photos, you see a beautifully set table (misleading). Storoddevegen is a gravel road, which creates a lot of dust when a car drives by. It is very difficult to cook anything on the induction hob due to the safety features. It keeps switching off, even with the extractor fan on maximum and the hob on 4. Difficult to find – the GPS system does not recognise Storoddevegen (it is also a private road). Please provide the coordinates of the lodge. Air extraction in the toilet would be appreciated.”

The “rough” cleaning was done well, but smaller details could be improved (doors, bottom of the wardrobe, window frames, bins were not emptied, bathroom drawers were not checked). I really appreciated the app contact (question about the hob and barking at the neighbours) , quick response, good help.”

In general, provide earlier notification about items that guests need to bring themselves, such as barbecue lighter fluid (one week in advance may be too short notice in certain circumstances; this information could also be included directly in the accommodation description).”

By car and ferry to Norway
You drive by car through Germany to Hirtshals or Frederikshavn in northern Denmark. At the port, you board the ferry with your car. The crossing to Norway is a very enjoyable experience. Fjord Line sails daily from Hirtshals to Kristiansand, and it only takes two hours and fifteen minutes. It won't be long before you arrive in the south of Norway. One benefit of this travel option is that you'll have your own car in Norway.
Flights
Do you prefer to fly to Norway and rent a car locally? Several airlines fly multiple times a day to Norway. With KLM, you can fly from Amsterdam to Kristiansand in just 1.5 hours. From Kristiansand, you drive along a beautiful fjord route for about 2.5 hours to your holiday home. With Transavia, you can fly in the same time from Eindhoven to the capital, Oslo. At the airport, you can pick up a rental car and be in the Norwegian village of Vrådal within 3.5 hours.
